Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PushUp Synth handles your data. We keep things simple: no accounts, no cloud storage, and no selling or sharing of your personal data.

1. Data controller

The app is developed and owned by Ringheim Dissolve Media AB (“we”, “us”). If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at: info@dissolve.se.

2. No user accounts and no server-side storage

PushUp Synth does not require you to create an account or log in. We do not operate any backend server that stores your workouts or personal information.

All data used by the app (such as your push-up counts and settings) is stored locally on your device or in Apple Health, depending on your choices.

3. Use of Apple Health (HealthKit)

3.1 Writing push-up workouts to Apple Health

With your explicit permission, the app can write workout-related information (such as push-up workouts and rep counts) to Apple Health using HealthKit.

• You are always in control of these permissions via the Apple Health access dialog and in the Health app settings.
• The data we write is used to integrate your push-ups into your overall training history in Apple Health.

3.2 We do not read data from Apple Health

The app only writes your push-up workouts to Apple Health. We do not read any data from Apple Health.

3.3 No sharing of Health data with third parties

We do not transmit, sell, or share any Apple Health data to third parties or our own servers. All Health data remains managed by Apple Health on your device and iCloud according to your own Apple settings.

4. Use of the camera (“Camera Depth” / TrueDepth / front camera)

In the app, this mode is called “Camera Depth”. PushUp Synth can use the front camera (including TrueDepth on supported devices) to automatically count your push-ups based on your head movement.

When you enable the Camera Depth mode:

• The camera image and depth information are processed locally on your device only.
• We do not store or save camera images or depth data.
• We do not send any camera or depth data to our servers or to third parties.
• We do not use the camera for facial recognition or to create biometric profiles.

The sole purpose of using the camera/TrueDepth system is to detect your movement and count your push-ups more accurately in this specific workout mode.

5. Nose Touch mode (no camera used)

The app also offers a “Nose Touch” mode, where a push-up is counted when your nose touches the screen.

• In Nose Touch mode, the camera is not used at all.
• Only touch input from the screen is processed to detect your reps.
• No images or sensor data beyond the touch event are stored or transmitted.

6. Local storage on your device

The app may store basic settings and progress information locally on your device (for example, which level you have unlocked or your push-up history inside the app). This data:

• Stays on your device.
• Is not sent to us or to third parties.
• Is removed if you delete the app or erase your device.

7. App: no cookies and no third-party tracking

The PushUp Synth app does not use cookies, web trackers, or third-party analytics SDKs.

Inside the app, we do not:

• Collect advertising identifiers for ad tracking.
• Use third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.
• Show third-party ads.

Note: This marketing website (where you are reading this policy) uses Google Analytics — but only after you explicitly opt in via the cookie banner. See section 11 below.

8. Children’s privacy

The app is designed for general fitness use and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information by contacting us, please let us know at info@dissolve.se so we can delete it.

9. Your rights

Because we do not operate an account system and do not store your data on our servers, your main controls are:

• Managing Apple Health permissions in the Health app.
• Changing or disabling Camera Depth / Nose Touch modes in the app settings.
• Deleting the app to remove local data stored on your device.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.

11. Marketing website analytics

This privacy policy primarily covers the PushUp Synth app. The marketing website that hosts this policy uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behaviour — page views, traffic sources, device types. It does not identify you personally.

• No analytics scripts load until you click Accept in the cookie banner.
• If you click Decline, no analytics scripts run and no tracking cookies are set.
• Your IP address is anonymised before being sent to Google.
• Analytics data is processed by Google according to their privacy policy.
• You can revoke consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, or by changing your choice in the banner on a fresh visit.
