Displayo by Dissolve Media – Digital Signage for Apple TV
This privacy policy was last updated on February 3, 2026. It describes how Dissolve Media collects, uses, and handles your information when you use Displayo.
Displayo is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect or transmit the following:
No account is required. Displayo does not ask you to create an account or sign in with any service other than your Apple ID, which is handled exclusively by Apple.
All data used by Displayo is stored exclusively on your Apple TV. Nothing leaves your device except purchase transactions processed by Apple. Here is a summary of what is stored locally:
When you upload videos, images, or PowerPoint files via the web-based Content Manager, the files are transferred over your local network only and saved directly to your Apple TV. No content is uploaded to any external server or cloud service.
Playlist order, display durations, and other settings are saved as metadata on the device. This data is never transmitted outside your local network.
Displayo uses a PIN code to protect your Content Manager from unauthorized access. The PIN is stored locally on your Apple TV using the system's UserDefaults storage. It is not transmitted to any external service.
Failed PIN attempts trigger a progressive lockout system to protect against brute-force access. Lockout state and attempt counters are held in memory only and reset when the app restarts.
Displayo offers a one-time purchase to unlock the full version. All purchase transactions are processed exclusively by Apple through StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information, and we do not store any transaction details on our end.
Apple may collect and process purchase history data in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.
Displayo operates on your local network. The web-based Content Manager runs a local server on the Apple TV that is accessible only to devices on the same network.
The only outbound network activity is connecting to Apple's servers to verify and process in-app purchases via StoreKit. No other external network requests are made by the app.
All data stored by Displayo resides on your Apple TV. You can delete uploaded content at any time through the Content Manager. Deleting or reinstalling the app will remove all locally stored data, including uploaded content, playlist settings, and the PIN code.
Because we do not collect or store any data on our end, there is nothing for us to delete or provide upon request.
Displayo is a business tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it promptly.
Displayo does not integrate with or transmit data to any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media platforms. The only external service interaction is with Apple's App Store and StoreKit for purchase processing.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Displayo after changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
